Screening of short dance films with commentary, followed by Q&A session.
Best of La Danza In 1 Minuto presents the best videos from the Italian competition of short dance films from the period of 2013 to 2018. In addition to dancers, the competition is open other artists – musicians, directors, writers, etc.. Each use their work to answer the question: What is dance to you? Same conditions apply to all contestants: they have to express themselves via video of a maximum length of 60 seconds.
Campo Largo is the first Italian residency dedicated to the genre of video dance. It is positioned on the intersection of dance, video, sound design and a site-specific performance. The output is a series of short films that portray digital dance as a new space for experiment.
The short films will be presented in person by Lucia Di Rienzo, curator and artistic director of La Danza In 1 Minuto. She is board member at the Cultural Association COORPI in Turin, founded in 2002 to develop new forms of communication between people and their living space through dance and body talk.
