Infinite Synapsies – Partner interaction in contemporary dance

Two outstanding performers and teachers Lívia and Zébastian will lead a new educational format – workshop / research. As many Slovak dancers have already been able to convince, they both have an extraordinary combination of physical and intellectual qualities that guarantee a high level of their work. Lívia is a previous member of the famous Belgian contemporary dance company Ultima Vez. Zébastian is one of the leading choreographers of the new generation of contemporary dancers in Costa Rica. The temperament and personal qualities of both artists are an indispensable part of their work. Both are interested in new formats of creation, presentation and research in contemporary dance. They focus on developing the skills of partner and group dance, and exploring the principles of physical interaction using broad knowledge about body and movement.

Partnering involves a complex development of many layers of perception and knowledge, so the project is designed as an intensive ten-day experience that provides the prerequisite for deeper processing of acquired experience and knowledge.

Preliminary time schedule: 9:30 – 12:00 &14:00 – 16:30 (7 Aug. 2018 just morning part)
Place: Academia Universum, Bratislava
