Choreographic pieces of a young generation of dancers compiled for Kiosk by the dance dramaturgist and director Maja Hriešik. Works of students, as well as fresh graduates of VŠMU (Academy of Performing Arts) feature humorousness and pragmatism/objectivism, but they also engage in serious themes with deep physical verve.
Five shows – we hope – will tell us in what condition is the debuting generation in contemporary dance. Of course, it is still in the process, evolving, looking for its ideal dance body. According to Hriešik, however, it is significant and strong and in the Slovak field of dance, thanks to that, a more favorable wind begins to breeze.
