The intensive workshop JOIN US! is back!
This time with a dancer, teacher and choreographer - Daniel Raček.
Theme: Contemporary dance focused on reverse positions of body
Bio:
Daniel is originally focused on a different educational area from dance – he was trained to be a teacher of mathematics and descriptive geometry. Later he pursued contemporary dance. He completed his dance studies at the Department of Dance at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and wrote his diploma thesis on the subject of converted positions of body and use of upper limbs as body support. In the past he taught contemporary dance at the Conservatory of Ján Levoslav Bella in Banská Bystrica, and the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava. Currently he is a member of the Debris Company in Bratislava and a member of the ensemble Karen Foss Quiet Works in Norway. He cooperates with both Slovak and foreign groups and artists (DOT 504, Laszlo Monika, Rootlessroot Company ...). In 2006 he was awarded the Philip Morris Ballet Flower prize for best dance performance of contemporary art. He is very keen on modern partnering.
