CHARON

Dance-visual performance CHARON is inspired by a mythological figure Charon as a ferryman of souls and a thesis of Joseph Campbell who speaks about mythology as a power capable of creating moral systems. The character of Charon has been chosen as a personification of human qualities in their self-reflection. It shows how contrasting the characters can be when reflecting the approach to the ancient story. The theme, already resonant in Ancient Greece, also points to how much the value of money is rooted in the human subconscious. We look for inspiration in myths, paintings, ancient songs and narratives. It is the delivery of echoic ancient texts and their transformation into movement, performance and music composition that are the pillars of the creative process. The myths from our present transcend the borders of many worlds and shift movement and music into a more intense relationship. 
As a part of the creative process a series of video art clips will be created.
