Residance [international program]

In 2021 Plast was running 3 dance residency programmes for international teams and Slovak international co-production projects, for which it also provided accommodation and a fee.

RESIDANCE - dance residencies for co-production projects of smaller artist collectives

CONNECTOR - 2 residencies for non-dance artists who want to work with dance in their work

AUDANCE: Talking about watching - a coaching programme for artists in residence focused on feedback on emerging work and working with audiences

The theme of the residencies: resilience

The theme mirrors the previous period, which was marked by a pandemic, which tested and strengthened the resilience in all of us. Whether pointing out the necessity of care for the body and organism, but also a need for psychological resilience, to be able to resist the pressure of a chaotic social situation and measures related to it.

It also refers to the space in which the residencies take place. The nature of it is imperfect, requires a certain resilience from artists, inventiveness. Also it refers to its previous identity - being a place of physical training and increasing resilience. The theme is a loose frame meant to inspire the artists, not necessarily limit the residencies themselves.
