WORKSHOPS Audance 2022: Talking about dramaturgy [Rodia Vomvolou]

12 and 13 November 2022

Through group and individual sessions, the coaching will offer to the artists practical dramaturgical tools and exercises to activate reflection upon current creation.

Rodia’s intervention as a dramaturg in artists’ processes doesn’t have to do with guiding things or giving right answers, but more with verbs like activate, trigger, question, confuse, challenge, highlight, speculate. Her main tools for this are time, limitations, questions, imagination, articulation and visualization. What kind of frameworks can we set up to mobilize the artist’s thinking and what kind of questions do we need to ask to activate a process?

****Recommended to dance and performance artists in any phase of creation.
