INBETWEEN + PERFORMATIVE ARCHITECTURE

INBETWEEN explores group tensions in a world of climate change, global pandemic, constant connectivity and instant reactions, where the space in between us becomes our collective body that needs to be remapped. Even if the geographical distance is keeping us far away, we are in connection to each other more than ever before and at this stage we are morphing into a mass that struggles to find balance once more.
Inspired by interactive architecture, it stages four performers modifying a material that floats above them, by creating tension or releasing it. The object that is manipulated by the dancers becomes performative architecture - a “common body”. The shapes it takes are a result of their negotiations, but it also becomes their environment. Their cover, their base. This temporary shelter and space of negotiation is a reflection of the struggles and interactions between the dancers but also of society at large.

The performance is followed by a moderated discussion with a practitioner, Viktor Fuček, and the creators of the performance on the topic of PERFORMATIVE ARCHITECTURE.

Viktor Fuček - performer, educator, urban shaman, who creates performances, images and installations in which he pushes the boundaries of what is usually perceived as architecture, and shows how experimental practices can help find new strategies to address the problems of contemporary
society.
