Nela Rusková

A performer, creator, choreographer, but above all a person who has immersed herself in art as a form of communication. She is a graduate of Janáček’s Conservatory in Ostrava and VŠMU (Dance Theatre and Performance, Choreography). Her work focuses on simplicity, details, and the fragility of human existence in this overwhelmed era. She likes sensitive aesthetics of movement and the intention behind a piece. There is a strong emphasizing towards emotional expression as fundamental aspects of humanity (what makes a person human?). Recently, she has also been drawn to movement collaboration in drama plays, which she explored in student productions. As an interpreter, she has participated in projects by Maja Štefančíková, Stanislava Vlk Vlčeková, Lívia Balážová, Viktória Revická, and Marta Poláková. Her work has been presented at festivals such as Tanečno, Kiosk, Movefest Ostrava and NuDanceFest. She is a co-founder of the o.z. Objektorárium, which is an interdisciplinary platform at the intersection of architecture, theater, and dance for performative works.
